Creamsicle

Remember a 50-50 bar as a kid?  Orange sherbert surrounding a vanilla ice cream center?  That combination was pure bliss as a kid.  I worked in a nice martini bar where I learned and tweeked this recipe to create the adult version of that legendary popsicle...

 

  1. Vanilla Vodka (2.25 ounces)
  2. Cointreau  (1 ounce)
  3. Orange juice (2.5 - 3 ounces)

Shake intensly, the strain into a pre-frozen, pre-sugared 7 ounce martini glass.  Garnish with a small slice of orange or orange twist.
